A LITTLE BLURB ABOUT IT
Parking meters in Seattle have been poorly designed, and the system that it represents is frustrating for more than just financial reasons. For this group project we were tasked with designing a new system that eases the friction users experience while parking. We also set out to redesign it physically so that it would lend itself more to human interaction.
We created a model at 1/3rd scale, a mock up of the receipt given to customers, and an interaction flow for the interface. Our concept was centered around intuitive controls, speedy payment, and clear feedback so that there is no confusion surrounding the price and duration of your parking spot.
